Tour overview

The Sigatoka River Cruise & Salad Bowl Valley Tour is a half-day cultural experience on Fiji's main island, Viti Levu. After pickup from your resort, you board the MV Amline for a 45-minute cruise along the Sigatoka River towards the river mouth, where the famous Sigatoka Sand Dunes come into view, before returning to the Sigatoka Club Jetty.

A 25-minute scenic drive then follows the lush vegetation of the Sigatoka Valley — known as the Salad Bowl of Fiji because it grows much of the country's fresh produce — with a visit to the Nahigatoka Village Kindergarten. In the village you are welcomed with a kava ceremony and a crafts demonstration of tapa printing, mat weaving and pottery making, joined by singing, dancing, coconut husking, scraping and tasting. A 10-minute walk brings you to a village home for a BBQ lunch before the return transfer to your resort.

Please choose your tour package based on your region, hotel or correct pickup location, as these affect the tour price. If you need essential supplies from town during your stay, a supermarket stop can be arranged.
